Re-engineering Research & Development Team
The Re-engineering Team assists schools, districts, and communities as they reshape rules, roles, structures, and relationships to build capacity for long-term improvement. The Re-engineering Team develops and designs strategies, tools and resources that assist schools and school districts to address their critical problems and become high performing learning communities.

Re-engineering Schools
School re-engineering is a process in which schools use educational research, theory, and experience to reshape the rules, roles, and relationships of the school, district, and community for the primary purpose of improving student performance.

School Improvement Research Series (SIRS)
The School Improvement Research Series (SIRS) includes: Topical Syntheses of research findings and bibliographic information on special topics; Close-Ups on specific methods and techniques that can be adopted as a part of school improvement efforts including statements of research results, examples of practices, and bibliographic information; Snapshots describing exemplary uses of effective schooling practices.

Toolkit98 is designed to assist classroom teachers to become better assessors of student learning. The primary users of Toolkit98 are intended to be those who have responsibility to coordinate and facilitate professional development in assessment for teachers.

Volunteer Leadership Center
We help strengthen programs that engage volunteers to meet critical community needs. Through both national and regional partnerships, we provide training and technical assistance to AmeriCorps, Senior Corps, and Learn and Serve America programs. National work includes training and support for tutor and mentor programs, as well as antipoverty efforts. Regional events promote collaboration, provide leadership training, and celebrate the volunteer experience.
