Last week, NWREL celebrated 42 years of linking education research to practices that benefit schools and communities in the Northwest region and beyond. The anniversary dinner brought together nearly 250 staff, board, and family members.

The Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory's goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of students and the educators who support their learning. We work closely with schools, districts, and other agencies to develop creative and practical solutions to important educational challenges.
NWREL's core beliefs:
- Learning is a lifelong process in which all can succeed
- Schools and communities share responsibility for providing equitable access to and support for high-quality teaching and learning
- NWREL's role is to provide evidence-based tools and strategies that build capacity to improve learning
