Mathematics Summer Institute 2006

For Teachers of Grades 3 - 5

July 31 - August 4

During the Mathematics Summer Institute, teachers will engage in a variety of activities to deepen their understanding of the integration of Arithmetic and Algebra in the elementary classroom. The activities include:

The Institute will explore the following:

Participants will receive a copy of Thinking Mathematically, Integrating Arithmetic & Algebra in Elementary School (Carpenter, Franke, & Levi) and an institute binder.

The institute will be held at the Multnomah ESD, 11611 NE Ainsworth Circle, Portland, OR from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday, July 31 - Friday, August 4, 2006.

College credit available for an additional cost of $250 from Oregon State University.

Should you need to cancel your registration, a refund is available if written notification is received by July 15, 2006. A $50 processing fee will apply to all refunds. Requests made after July 15, 2006 will not be refunded.
