Students will:
learn about both the historical background and current status of the Sioux tribe and its subdivisions;
be familiar with President Jefferson's instructions relevant to the Teton Sioux;
describe the meetings and ceremonies held between the Teton Sioux and the Lewis and Clark Expedition;
learn about geographic locations along the Missouri River that were connected to the Teton incident and how dams changed the Missouri River; and
learn Sioux words that would have been used in conjunction with the Teton incident.
