The Toolkit

Toolkit contents are packaged for flexible use

Introductory materials give an overview of the four tools:

  • Informational brochure
  • Introductory booklet (12 pages)
  • Overview video about all four self-study tools (10 minutes)
  • Four school stories offering perspectives of principals, teachers, and students in diverse settings (4-6 pages each)
The boxed Self-Study Toolkit gives you what’s needed to put the four tools to use:
  • Four Guidebooks: one for each self-study tool
  • Handouts for using each tool
  • Three videotapes demonstrating use of the
      Structured Reflection Protocol (Video title: Working Smarter, Not Harder)
      Student-Led Focus Group, (Video title: In Their Words) and
      Data-in-a-Day (Video title: Stop, Look, and Listen)
  • Eleven stories of schools that have used each tool successfully
