Careers at the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory

About NWREL

The Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory was founded in 1966. We have served the region and the nation as a Regional Educational Laboratory since 1966. To learn more about the Laboratory and its work, please see our About Us Section.

NWREL is located in One Main Place, in downtown Portland

We are headquartered in the One Main Place building, just west of the Hawthorne Bridge. The building is within four blocks of light rail stations, and all bus stops, and eight block from the Portland Streetcar. We have three parking lots or structures within two blocks of the building, including parking in the building. Our building also provides covered, protected parking for bicycles.

One Main Place has a coffee shop, bank, sundries, and a hair stylist in the building. There are more than 15 restaurants and coffee shops within two blocks. It is two blocks from the riverfront.

NWREL occupies floors 4, 5, and 6. Most professional staff have offices with windows. Some employees may work from cubicles, although that is not the norm. Each floor has washrooms and a kitchen.
