September 1997 What's New on NWREL's Web Site
The NWREL Web site has been redesigned to offer a cleaner and more attractive package that makes it easier to find important information. A major new feature is a search function to help you find what you're looking for. It searches the entire--and extensive--NWREL site.
Check out the new standard footer at the bottom of the pages which allows you to get back to NWREL's home page from every page. The home page also now features resource links that will take you directly to other educational resources such as the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Educational Research and Information.
In addition, NWREL's Web site includes a host of new information. Check out the latest information available online, then just browse around to see NWREL publications and products or to explore links to thousands of other educational resources from around the country.
Charter Schools: The Northwest Experience--This site includes news from the Northwest, featuring links to charter school activities in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. There's also a compilation of charter school information and research from across the country. http://www.nwrel.org/charter/
From Science and Mathematics in Education, comes the introduction of its home page with a resource database collection, publications, and more. There are links to a resource collections that includes a lending library of teacher support materials, other science and mathematics Web sites and databases, a variety of products, publications, and videos to assist and inform (including a free copy of Science and Mathematics for All: It's Just Good Teaching), and other services to support teachers and organizations in their educational efforts. http://www.nwrel.org/msec/
From Urban Education, comes the introduction of its home page with news about its symposium scheduled for September 23-26 in Portland, Oregon. The site also provides links to national and regional resources and information about NWREL's activities in urban education. http://www.nwrel.org/cnorse/urbaned/
