Toolkit98 Has All the Right Tools. Toolkit98 is intended to assist users in designing and developing professional development in assessment that engages participants in a practical, hands-on fashion. Toolkit98 updates the 1995 edition with all-new assessment samples as well as updated favorites, contact information, and a revised index.

Open Wide. NWREL provides the Summer 1998 issue of Schoolwide Northwest, the quarterly newsletter of NWREL’s Comprehensive Center, Region X. This issue contains upcoming IASA Regional Conference information, help for English-language teachers, information on Title IX Indian Education programs, and plenty of resources for further reading.

Direct to Video. The Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration program has opened a video lending library on the Web. Several videos are available, ranging in topics from an introduction to CSRD, presentations by school reform developers, interviews with model representatives, and a conversation with a superintendent regarding his district’s experiences with school reform.

Charting New Waters. The Charter Schools Web page has undergone a major makeover and has added information on the NWREL Charter Schools Leadership Training Program.

Web-Site Renovation. The NWREL Web site has been updated with a new home page, new graphics, new navigation options, and more! The home page has been completely redesigned, combining colorful aesthetics with useful navigation links. In addition to eye-popping colors and graphics, a search function has been added to the top of the page. The updated look and options extend throughout the site.
