Flashback

the letter Student Shane Hart (foreground, right) of the White Pass School District in Randle, Washington, was among the participants at the School-Community Renewal Networking Design Conference held at NWREL in February. Participants from around the region discussed ways to strengthen their communities and schools. Sessions included workshops on uses of technology, influencing the media, community outreach, grant writing, and state and local educational reform efforts. Julie Riley (below, left), an Extension Agent in Broadeus, Montana, and Barbara Poore, a Rural Challenge scout from Indianapolis, Indiana, were among the panelists at the conference, which was sponsored by NWREL's Rural Education Program.
