* Videoconferencing for K-12 Teaching and Learning. NWREL’s Northwest Educational Technology Consortium (NETC) recently debuted Digital Bridges, a new Web site and set of resources to assist K-12 teachers and administrators in designing, implementing, and supporting videoconferencing projects. Such projects can improve student instruction and encourage interaction between school personnel and others involved in the care and growth of children.

* Connecting School and Homeschool. As homeschooling has become both more common and more widely accepted as an alternative to public education, the relationship between schools and homeschoolers is changing. Making Positive Connections With Homeschoolers, the most recent in the By Request series of topical booklets, explores those changes and suggests ways schools can work with homeschooling families.
