Creating Writers Through Assessment and Instruction
A recent training for the trainers who use NWREL’s Six + 1 Traits Writing Assessment Model was held in Blaine, Wash. Trainers from Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming as well as all five states in NWREL’s region attended. The institute is designed for teachers in all grades, administrators, staff development specialists, and others who are looking for ways to share the Six + 1 Traits Writing Assessment Model with other staff, schools, and districts. The only prerequisites for the institute is a working knowledge of the Six + 1 Traits Writing Assessment Model and stories to tell about the use of the model in the classroom.
