Making Transitions—

Transitions are tough for everyone, but they are particularly hard on young children. That's especially true for youngsters who are emotionally sensitive. Often, adults make the situation worse by holding very different expectations for children in different settings, such as home, child care, kindergarten, or first grade. This issue of the Early Childhood e-newsletter helps us understand transitions from a child's perspective and provides strategies for making changes less stressful.
