What's New on the Web

Indian Reading Series—All 140 titles in this acclaimed series of culturally relevant stories are now posted on the Web. The booklets, written and illustrated by local American Indian artists and authors, are geared to Levels 1-6. Out-of-print for several years, the stories and teacher's manuals can be downloaded and used free of charge for educational purposes. www.nwrel.org/indianed/indianreading/index.html

Help for Mentoring Programs—This site features a generic policy and procedure manual for mentoring programs that's designed to help streamline operations, address risk management issues, and ensure quality and consistency of services. The manual contains everything a program needs to create a sustainable set of program rules, guidelines, and procedures. www.nwrel.org/mentoring/policy_manual.html
