Nutrition for Young Children
With increasing media attention on the growing problem of obesity in American children, this Early Childhood e-newsletter is particularly timely. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, the percentage of obese children rose from 11 percent to 15 percent from 1994 to 2000. While activity level and genetics play a role in obesity, good nutrition from a young age helps people maintain their weight and health throughout their lives. This e-newsletter includes links to reports, data, and tools; meta-sites with links to articles on various nutrition-related topics; recipes; and the staffs favorite "Web site of the month."
