Directions from Portland International Airport (15 minutes)

  1. Exit PDX
  2. Take I-205 S towards PORTLAND / I-84 / SALEM
  3. Take I-84 W, exit number 21B, towards PORTLAND
  4. Follow Signs to I-5 S to SALEM
  5. Merge onto I-5 S to SALEM
  6. Take exit number 299A, towards OR-43 / LAKE OSWEGO
  7. Turn slight right onto SW MACADAM AVE / OR-43
  8. At the first signal, Turn left onto SW Hamilton Ct

Taxi
The area for taxis is located in the center section of the airport terminal's lower roadway on the baggage claim and departure level. Taxis charge by mile and there is an airport pickup charge. The ride from the airport to the hotel is about 15-30 minutes and will be approximately $35-40.

MAX Red Line
Portland's light rail transit provides service to/from the airport for $2.05 each way. You can board MAX directly outside of baggage claim at PDX.

To reach the Avalon Hotel & Spa

  1. Board MAX Red Line to City Center & Beaverton TC
  2. Get off at Galleria/SW 10th Ave MAX Station
  3. Walk northwest to SW 11th & Alder
  4. Board Portland Streetcar to South Waterfront
  5. Get off at SW Lowell & Bond
  6. Follow the footpath south for a 5-minute scenic walk to Avalon Hotel & Spa
