Participants will:
- Become familiar with the research supporting improvement in adolescent reading, writing, and mathematics
- Learn approaches to meeting the needs of adolescents in literacy and mathematics
- Learn strategies for using professional learning teams to improve student and teacher learning
Materials:
Each team will receive a set of four guidebooks—Improving Adolescent Reading: Findings From Research, Improving Adolescent Mathematics: Findings From Research, Writing Next, and Improving Instruction through Professional Learning Teams: A Guide for School Leaders
Professional Development Credit
Participants from Oregon and Washington may sign up for continuing professional development credit and clock hours at the end of the two-day workshop.
