Small Learning Community National Conference 2008 (Las Vegas, NV)June 23–25, 2008
This national conference is NOT affiliated with the USDOE/OESE SLC Program or with the technical assistance provided through its contract with the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory's Recreating Secondary Schools Program. All activities will be underwritten by registration fees and contributions by other participating organizations and businesses.
Overview
Designed by practitioners for practitioners, in partnership with six national organizations, the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory presents the conference From Structure to Instruction.
Experienced SLC practitioners and researchers will deliver two days of dynamic sessions, focusing on what they know works best in small learning community settings. On the third day, participants will apply what they learned in the sessions into customized plans to take back home. Presenters will provide personalized coaching to individuals and school or district teams—helping participants solidify their plans and troubleshoot potential barriers.
