The Small Learning Communities Program is a series of three-year programs funded by the Office of Vocational and Adult Education of the U.S. Department of Education. The purpose of the program is to increase student achievement in meeting state standards through the development of smaller learning communities. NWREL is the contractor for program evaluations in 14 high schools in Oregon, two high schools in Washington, and three high schools in Montana.
