Mapping for Success: Aligning the Curriculum With State Standards
Mapping for Success helps schools align their curriculum with state standards. By examining the current curriculum within the context of the state standards and using data to guide decisionmaking, schools will evolve from individual classroom curricula to a coherent schoolwide curriculum. Mapping for Success connects the curricula across all grades and content areas. This service is intended to engage all teachers and administrators in critically examining and improving their curriculum in a collaborative approach.
“We used to never talk to the teachers at the grades below or above us. We did our own thing. We started having meetings where we discussed what we needed to teach to get students ready for the next grade. Now our alignment [of key content and instructional practices] is much clearer. For the first time we are now all on the same page.”
