Goal: To develop a trainers network to respond to local, state, and regional needs with local experts from AmeriCorps programs and partners.
Seeking Experts to address the following Northwest Regional Training and Technical Assistance Needs:
Community Connections: Includes partnership development, community involvement, volunteer management, getting the message to the media and the public
Program Sustainability: Short-term fundraising and cultivating long-term relationships
Program Management and Organizational Development: Human resources management, time management, conducting efficient meetings, working with boards and advisory groups, developing healthy staff relations, evaluations and performance appraisals, wellness, etc.
Priority Skill Development: in areas related to the environment, school success, human needs, public safety
Member Development and Team Building Skills: diversity, conflict mediation, first aid and CPR, interpersonal and group communication skills, maintaining Esprit de corps
Service-Learning: applying service learning in AmeriCorps teams or corps, teaching service learning in schools, environmental service learning, etc.
Managing Individual Placements in single site AmeriCorps programs
Project Management: Project planning, risk assessment and management, negotiating project responsibilities, goalsetting, briefing and de-briefing for the project, motivation, etc.
Citizenship Building: Participating in community development, understanding democratic processes and principles, locating local and national government resources
Transitioning After Service: Career Development, etc.
