Our framework addresses district, school, and classroom-level practices.
Through trainings, coaching, and site visits, anchor to headings below we support leadership teams in using Core & More strategies with your staff members.
We work together to develop change leadership skills, align programs and practices to boost student achievement, and institute routine improvement processes. This enables school staff to foster and leverage close relationships to prepare students to master rigorous and relevant programs of study.
Trainings
Core & More training services are offered as stand-alone trainings or as an extension of site-based coaching. Trainings are collaborative, interactive, practice-based, and include applications of concepts to your district and school needs.
When possible, we prepare your district leadership team to lead trainings for your own staff members, supported by Core & More trainers. We also conduct short-term follow-up coaching for participants in our trainings, to assist with high-fidelity implementation of research-based practices.
Coaching
Core & More services include long-term coaching of districts and schools to build leadership capacity for meaningful change. Our collaborative approach uses the lens of your district’s unique assets and challenges to select research-based best practices that make the most sense for you.
In districts as large as Miami, Memphis, and Atlanta, and as small as Delta/Greely, Alaska, Core & More coaches work with district and school leadership teams on:
- Aligning programs and resources
- Planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of small schools and small learning communities
- Developing rigorous and relevant curriculum
- Overcoming challenges and measuring progress
We also conduct short-term follow-up coaching for participants in our trainings, to assist with high-fidelity implementation of research-based practices.
Site Visits
Site visit services are an opportunity to support your implementation goals with an emphasis on continuous program improvement. During the past five years, the Core & More team has visited more than 300 schools receiving federal SLC grants. These site visits have given us a wealth of experience in serving as "critical friends" who provide fresh insights to the SLC leadership teams.
