2000
NWREL conducted 4,321 activities that provided educators, policymakers, and the public with information, materials, knowledge, and skills to improve the results of education.
NWREL developed 43 new products, providing tools and strategies that support systemic reform efforts, improve teaching and learning, and foster strong community partnerships.
A total of 39,320 people gained new knowledge and skills for improving education through participation in 2,333 NWREL workshops, conferences, and consultation sessions in 2000.
NWREL disseminated information on education issues and practices through 47,047 copies of Laboratory products; 291,700 copies of newsletters, publications, and other free materials; and 5 million accesses on NWREL’s Web site.
Four out of five Northwest educators are familiar with NWREL work. Three-fourths of superintendents and principals and a quarter of all teachers have participated in NWREL activities, requested technical assistance, or used NWREL resources.
