NWREL conducted 4,321 activities in 2000 that provided educators, policymakers, and the public with information, materials, knowledge, and skills to improve the results of education.
More than 87,000 people benefited directly from NWREL activities, including 39,320 participants in NWREL workshops, conferences, and technical assistance sessions; 47,047 who requested and received products and publications through the NWREL Document Reproduction Service; and 1,383 who requested searches for information on topics and issues they were confronting.
In addition, 291,700 copies of NWREL publications, newsletters, and other free materials were disseminated, and information and resources on NWREL’s Web site attracted 5 million user accesses during 2000, a 110 percent increase over the prior year.
