69% of All Activities Involved Providing Requested Information
"By Request…" Booklets Focus on Hot Topics
Responding to 2,420 requests for information constituted the largest type of activity conducted by NWREL in 1996. Making the requests were superintendents, principals, other administrators, parents, concerned citizens, teachers, librarians, students, counselors, and school psychologists, with most requests coming from teachers and administrators who deal with education's successes and problems on a daily basis.
A new series of booklets, By Request…, was initiated in 1996 to provide information on topics most frequently asked about—the first three on Service Learning, Tutoring, and School Scheduling Alternatives.
