New Director Named for Center of Excellence

Liza Finkel is the new director of the Center for Classroom Teaching and Learning (CCTL) at the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory. “Throughout my career I’ve concentrated on work that has a direct impact on kids, teachers, and schools,” says Finkel. “I’ve gone back and forth from teaching in middle and high schools to working at the college level, depending on where I felt I could make the most significant impact. Working at NWREL is another opportunity for me to focus on the same issues I’ve believed in from yet another perspective.”
